Courage to pursue

Start Reading

What’s stopping you from pursuing your dreams? Yourself.

It’s perfectly okay to not know what you want to do, even though you want to do something different than what you’re doing now. Being stuck at a dead-end job, having uninspiring people in your life, or relationship problems can do that to a person. It’s totally understandable.

Work on the things in life that bring some sort of fulfillment and build upon it. Do the things that are important, but not urgent.

Important, urgent, non-important but urgent, important but not urgent. These four areas of our lives determine how we can be effective in our daily lives. Most people spend their time doing things that are urgent. Bills, errands, groceries, work, the immediate things that keep us sustained and living day to day. But to be highly effective, we must re-prioritize our lives and our perceptions about being effective.

Instead of doing many things are are only urgent, we trap ourselves into this cycle of only taking care of things that keep us sustained. Bills, errands, food, appointments, etc. It’s monotonous and unfulfilling. Yes, we have to do these things, but they become the focus of our existence, it becomes a trap.

I believe we should find and explore things we are passionate about and operate out of the paradigm of doing things that are important to us. It will be much more fulfilling. We will then discover the things that we are passionate about.

Now, you might say, “I don’t have the time for doing those things and I have all these other priorities. I’ve got kids or school or work or all three…”

I get it. We are all busy with these priorities in our life that just seem to make up “life”. But if you step back and reconfigure your perspective and what’s important, you can then reconfigure your priorities. Your perception will change.
