Mr. Donald Trump,

Life is a beautiful thing. We get experience so many things throughout our journey here on earth. Sometimes it’s great and sometimes it can be difficult. My life has been a gift since before I was born. I have fought everyday to make something of myself, and impact the world in positive ways.

Since birth, I was diagnosed with a hereditary immune deficiency. Known as XLA, or Agammaglobulinemia, I have had the inability to create white blood cells my entire life. I have had to take IVIG every two weeks. I am 32 years old. My medical bills have been costly my entire life. $4,000 a month. Luckily my father, who has been a police officer for 25+ years, was able to provide myself and my brother good health insurance.

I went to college and graduated with a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Bible Theology. I have been working since I was 15 years old.

The disease has always been a scary part about living life. Each day I am thankful to have medicine to stay alive and push forward to make a great impact on the world.

I pursued a career in design. I have worked as a designer with companies such as Disney, ESPN, REI, David Copperfield, Hollywood Reporter, Cannes Lions, Annie Lebovitz, Obama for America, Media Arts Lab, TEDxHollywood, TBWA, memBrain, Creative Circle, Midnight Oil, UBS, Nomadic, memBrain, Hertz Lichtenstein & Young, LLP, Disney Cruise Line, Disney’s Aulani Resort, Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris, Disney Vacation Club, Disney Parks, The Walt Disney Company and many more. My work has been recognized internationally and I have won multiple awards. I have never given up and I have never quit fighting to do great work. The same thing that threatens me each day – my pre-existing condition – is the same thing that pushes me forward in life.

When Obamacare passed, it allowed me to have a fighting chance at life. I have started two businesses and I work for 4-5 agencies at a time. I have been able to save and invest more because I am able to have an extra $4k in my pocket each month vs paying the insanely high cost of over inflated medicine I need.

My goal is to build businesses and invest in other businesses and create jobs. I am worried that you want to repeal Obamacare. I know that you want to keep pre-existing conditions in effect with the plans, but I fear that the costs for my health care are going to sky rocket again and that is not the life I want to go back to. People with pre-existing conditions have had a new chance at life because the cost of medicine and healthcare has been more affordable.

Please consider the impact you are making when you want to revise and repeal Obamacare. I am truly scared and I hope that you will please think about the costs that people with pre-existing conditions have to endure. Give those of us with pre-existing conditions a chance to work harder and continue to fight everyday to make our existence worthwhile and to make this country great again.

All the best
